History's mysteries
On Friday, April 19, 2013, Burley hosted the 7th Annual Book Bash with two distinguished and engaging nonfiction authors, Sally M. Walker and Alice McGinty. Students of all ages celebrated real life adventures from our past with a glimpse into history’s mysteries. In addition, on April 3rd, favorite author Blue Balliett returned to Burley to talk with students in Grades 3 - 6 about her new Chicago-based mystery, Hold Fast.
